During 70s, right after finishing vocational school for machining and apprentice work, master of the craft Lale starts his own machining workshop. He buys his first machines and opens his workshop in 1974 in Vrcin, Belgrade. In following years, workshop was working for many domestic companies and factories all over Yugoslavia. Year after year, more and more machines have filled the workshop next to his family home, and with machines came workers. As the business developed, there was a need for bigger workshop, and therefore for starting a company. Company Metalik ltd (Metalik doo) is founded in 1989 and the new modern manufacturing hall is build in a place behind the family home. The new hall had workspace of 300sqm, with a forgery, toolroom and a warehouse. Workspace was equipped with over 40 machines, and the floor over the workshop has been planned for 150sqm of offices.

In the next 33 years, Metalik had great results in business, providing good quality with great workers from which many were there for all of their work life, working besides Lale since it was just a small workshop all untill retiring.

In 2018 Lale is retiring and reducing the workload in a workshop, with the idea of letting younger generation take over the business.

In 2022 a group of young men appears eager to revitalize the production and continue from where Lale finished. With new energy, modern machines and innovations, Metalik now offers excellent combination of experience and youth, tradional machining and innovations.

Master Lale is still a huge support of the business, overseeing his successors in new projects.
